First and foremost, I place a strong emphasis on working together. You are the expert of your life, and I am here to act as your experienced mental health guide. Through our work together, I hope that you learn to understand better yourself and your relationship with others as I support you as you take steps to feel and do better in your life.
I love that we get to help others through the use of a human connection and that therapy is not a “one size fits all” experience. Each of us is unique, and therapy for you will be too.
My personality and humor shine through in my work as a therapist. I believe that being genuine is the key to effective therapy.
Jennifer Melo, Psy.D. Therapist DCI became a therapist because I wanted to be there for those who suffer in silence. I come from a culture where it is shunned, and I want to contribute to a world where therapy is not only normalized but cherished.
